Bay Project owned by Northwind Power Development Corp. in this coastal
town, founded in 1786 and three towns away due north from the provincial
capital of Laoag City.

Breathtaking views of the mountain and sea of clouds
Sagada is located in Northern Luzon's Mountain Province and is accessed via a scenic
yet windy road from the lower township of Bontoc or further afield from Banaue or

as a bit of an adventure capital with various activities available including trekking,
caving, zip-lining and rock climbing.

Echo Valley attached to the face of limestone cliffs.
Vigan, Philippines
One of the world’s best—preserved Spanish colonial towns
One of the oldest towns in the Philippines, Vigan is a Spanish Colonial fairy tale of
darkwood mansions, cobblestone streets and clattering kalesa (horse-drawn carriages). In
fact, it is the finest surviving example of a Spanish Colonial town in Asia and a Unesco
World Heritage site.
But outside of well-restored Crisologo St (closed to vehicular traffic) and a few surrounding
blocks, it’s also a noisy Filipino town like many others. In the places where history feels
alive, you can smell the aroma of freshly baked empanadas wafting past antique shops,
explore pottery collectives and watch sunlight flicker off capiz-shell windows.
TERRACES
Ifugao, Philippines
Man-made wonder

There have been rice terraces in the mountainous regions of Ifugao and northern Luzon

problem of growing rice on land that falls away in front of you at vertigo-inducing angles.
